LTG announces that, with effect from 31 December 2003, Dr Thomas Fischer will
resign from his position as non-executive director of the Company due to Dr
Fischer's recent appointment as Chairman of the Managing Board of West LB AG
restricting time for his duties on the Board of the Company.

Dr Fischer has served on the Board since the Company's listing on the London
Stock Exchange in December 1998, for the first year as Chairman. The directors
thank Dr. Fischer for his tremendous support given to the Company over the years
and wish him every success in his new appointment at West LB AG.
