Directors' Interests in Shares


Certain Directors yesterday sold a number of shares in the Company, at a price
of 88.2989p per share, in order to satisfy tax liabilities arising as a result
of the vesting of shares under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan 2000 in
November 2003.


The resulting total number of shares in which these Directors, or persons
connected with them, are beneficially interested, in comparison with their
previous holdings, is as follows:
