FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Calgary, Alberta - Centurion Energy International Inc. (TSE: CUX; AIM: CUX.L)

RIG MOVE TO ROBBANA KICKS OFF
                              2004 DRILLING PROGRAM

Said Arrata, President and CEO, is pleased to report that Centurion's 2004
drilling program is underway.

The CTF Rig is currently rigging up at the Robbana-2 location. It is expected
that the rig will be ready to spud the well within 2 weeks. The well is planned
for a total depth of approximately 2,800 meters to test the Upper and the Basal
Sands of the Lower Cretaceous Meloussi formation. The well is targeting
potential recoverable reserves of up to 50 million barrels. Centurion has an 80%
working interest with no government back-in right.

2004 / 2005 Drilling Program

Centurion has an active drilling program planned for Tunisia and Egypt during
2004 and 2005. We expect to drill up to fifteen wells in 2004 and up to an
additional eight wells during 2005.

TUNISIA

The Robanna-2 well is the first of seven wells planned for drilling in Tunisia
in 2004.

Ezzaouia Jurassic Well Program

Commencement of the three-well drilling program on the Ezzaouia Concession has
been delayed because the rig which had been contracted for the drilling program
has developed mechanical problems which brings its suitability for safe
operations into question. The rig will not be used unless these problems can be
rectified to Centurion's satisfaction. If another rig cannot be contracted, the
CTF rig will be substituted as soon as the drilling of Robbana-2 is completed,
expected during April.

Ezzaouia Triassic

Planning continues for drilling the Ezzaouia Triassic prospect. A drilling rig
capable of drilling to the 5,000 meter depth has been located and we are
finalizing working interests of participants in drilling the well. Centurion
will participate for a minimum of 31.4% working interest, and may participate to
a maximum of 69.7 %, depending on whether or not the Tunisian government oil
company, ETAP, participates. Centurion is determined to see this well drilled
during 2004.

Mellita Permit

Acquisition of approximately 2,400 kilometers of 2D seismic on the Mellita
permit is now complete and is being processed. Updating of maps and
finalization of drilling locations will follow. A well must be spudded before
the end of September, 2004 to meet the permit obligation (subject to the
granting of any extensions). The farm-out to PetroCanada requires that one
onshore and one offshore well be drilled as earning wells. Centurion is carried
for the first $13.5 million US of expenditures for the two earning wells and the
seismic program.

EGYPT
3D Seismic

The 3D seismic acquisition on the El Wastani and South Manzala development
leases has commenced. We expect to commence our Egyptian drilling program in
April. A total of up to eight wells are planned during 2004. Up to an
additional eight wells are planned in 2005.

El Wastani / South Manzala Drilling Program

Six wells are planned during 2004 on the two development leases in the Nile
delta. Three wells will target new exploration prospects and three wells will
be infill development wells to maintain field deliverability. A suitable
drilling rig has been identified and the first well is expected to spud in early
April, 2004.

West Gharib Concession

Drilling of two wells has been agreed for the West Gharib concession during
2004, including one infill well in the Hana field and a new Nubia exploration
prospect located in an unexplored area of the concession.

COMPANY PRODUCTION LEVELS

Total daily production is currently 10,400 boepd comprised of gas production of
50.6 million cubic feet per day and oil and liquids production of 2,130 barrels
per day.
