VANCOUVER, British Columbia,
May 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Digital Shelf Space Corp. (the "Company" or "DSS") (TSX.V:
DSS) is pleased to announce that the American Council on
Exercise ("ACE") released a detailed review yesterday of DSS'
innovative GSP RUSHFIT (www.gsprushfit.com) ultimate home workout
DVD fitness series. ACE did an in depth comparison putting GSP
RUSHFIT up against the most successful product of all time in the
home fitness category, P90x, and its sister product INSANITY. Both
of these highly successful products were produced by Beachbody, LLC
("Beachbody"). According to a Bloomberg article in
November 2010, Beachbody did
approximately $430M in annual revenue
for 2010, with P90x accounting for approximately $215M of that revenue. The GSP RUSHFIT workout
series stars the Montreal based
Mixed Martial Arts ("MMA"), World Welterweight Champion
Georges St-Pierre ("GSP").
"We are very proud that ACE not only put GSP RUSHFIT in the same
class as the Beachbody products but that our program received such
high marks," said Jeffrey Sharpe,
CEO and President of DSS. "We only just launched GSP RUSHFIT
in mid December 2010, having our
first project successfully compared to a market leader like P90x is
very flattering. We are honored to be in the company of one of the
leading fitness producers in North
America." Until this Spring GSP RUSHFIT had only been sold
directly to consumers online from www.gsprushfit.com and is now
available in major retailers across Canada.
"We know the program works and we are very excited at the
prospect of reaching more people with our GSP RUSHFIT program,"
said David Bogart, VP of Marketing
for DSS. "Once we launch a TV media campaign and continue to
support our traditional and online retail we should see the market
awareness of the brand grow. We continue to work on developing our
retail distribution channels with our partner Northern Response
(International) Ltd, to grow market share."
