Eastfield Resources Ltd. "Eastfield" (TSX-V:
ETF) would like to provide an update regarding the Kilometre 26
gold-nickel project, located in central British Columbia,
approximately 55 kilometres northwest of Fort St. James.
A total of 15 rock samples was collected of which 10 are
serpentinitic rocks. The bulk of these samples are outcrop or
subcrop. All are strongly magnetic, with six of them exceeding
1,500 ppm (0.15%) total nickel and the highest sample was 2,338 ppm
(0.23%) total nickel. All the mineralized samples are similar in
their association with elevated cobalt, chromium and magnesium
content, which varies from 9% to 15% (indicative of the
serpentinization). The samples all have very low sulphur and
negligible to undetectable mercury. A summary of the multi-element
analysis conducted by Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in
Vancouver is as follows:

These samples (and earlier nickel-mineralized samples collected
in July) are currently being examined by an independent expert to
determine what nickel-bearing minerals or alloys may be present and
to verify the possible occurrence of awaruite. Awaruite is the
nickel-iron alloy being pursued by First Point Minerals Corp. and
Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. at the Decar property located
approximately 30 km to the west of the Kilometre 26 project. Both
properties are located in similar geological settings of the Cache
Creek terrane hosting serpentinized ultramafic rocks.
The Kilometre 26 project is currently 5,645 hectares in size,
has good access by a major industrial road and recent logging has
established a network of roads across the project. The original
project target was a potential hot springs epithermal gold deposit
similar to the Mclaughlin gold mine (California). Rock sampling has
returned interesting exploration levels of gold and other elements
that continue to support this target along with the potential for
an awaruite nickel project.
Oroandes Resource Corp. has the option to earn a 60% interest in
Kilometre 26 from Eastfield by spending $1,575,000 on exploration,
issuing 275,000 shares and making $107,500 in payments by September
25, 2013.
