HTC Purenergy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:HTC) ("HTC") has signed an agreement with the
EPCOR Power Development Corporation ("EPCOR"), to deliver a Process Design and
Site Integration Engineering Study to look into the potential of a CO2 Capture
facility on a coal-fired plant.


The study will assist EPCOR in the preliminary stages of determining whether
post-combustion amine based CO2 capture technology can be utilized on
larger-scale coal fired power plants.


HTC is a Regina, Saskatchewan-based company that is commercializing the
Purenergy CCS CO2 Capture System that was developed at the University of Regina
- International Test Centre for CO2 Capture ("ITC") and launched commercially in
December, 2007.


The Purenergy CCS system, which incorporates more than 20 years of CO2 capture,
testing and product development at the University of Regina, is a
pre-engineered, modular CO2 capture system that can be retrofitted to existing
coal or natural gas fired power plants or incorporated into new plant
construction. The Purenergy CCS system will form the basis of the Process Design
Site Integration engagement.


HTC is globally commercializing its Purenergy CCS CO2 Capture Systems through
its head office and technical services centre in Regina Saskatchewan, Canada
with commercial offices in Brisbane (Australian) and Vermont (USA).
