VENTURE:NW)(FRANKFURT:NWU) announces that Mr. Lyle Brown, a director since 2006,
has been appointed as Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee. Mr. Brown is a
chartered accountant and partner in the accounting firm of Culver & Co. in
Vancouver, British Columbia since 1991. Mr. Brown has served clients in a wide
range of industries, and is familiar with the reporting requirements of public
companies.


Mr. William (Bill) McCartney has resigned as a director of the Company and as
Chairman of its Audit Committee for personal reasons.
