Triple 8 Energy Ltd. (the "Company"), which trades on the TSX Venture Exchange
(TSX VENTURE:TEE), wishes to announce that Mr. Tarik G. Elsaghir, B. Comm. has
joined the Board of Directors, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval. Mr.
Elsaghir has over ten years experience managing multimillion dollar real estate
and software development projects. Mr. Elsaghir is the President of Cedar Point
Capital Inc., a private investment management company. Mr. Elsaghir obtained his
Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the University of Calgary in 1996. He
has been involved in automating and establishing trading rules for several stock
exchanges globally. He was a director of New Island Resources Inc. from January,
2006 to January, 2007. Mr. Elsaghir advises that he recently acquired in the
market 330,000 shares of the Company, representing slightly more than 10% of the
Company's issued capital for investment purposes.
