Zinccorp Resources: 2009 Summer Exploration Program to Expand on 2008 Discoveries

Zinccorp Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ZN) (the "Company") is
pleased to announce that its 2009 exploration program will evaluate
multiple targets generated by last year's prospecting program at
the Michelle Property in Yukon Territory.
Eight new lead-zinc zones were discovered by a
"boots-on-the-ground" prospecting program conducted in 2008, along
with several unexamined and untested silt and soil anomalies that
warrant follow-up exploration. Some of these discoveries contain
locally high values of silver and gallium, while others have
potential for elevated germanium and indium. The high levels of
these elements makes the Michelle Project exceptional among similar
lead-zinc deposits found in the Canadian Cordillera.
The 2009 work program is designed to confirm, expand and extend
the mineralized zones and favourable trends and in some cases,
measure and map the zones for the first time. The program will be
under the direction of William Mann, a Yukon-based geologist with
extensive experience in all aspects of mining and mineral
exploration.
The mineralization at the Michelle Property is subtle, with
white-on-white minerals, which is why the extensively mineralized
district was not previously recognized by helicopter-supported
reconnaissance programs. Conventional prospecting has proven to be
very successful at finding new mineralized zones and showings.
Four new showings that received only minimal sampling last year
will be further sampled this year. Among the prime targets is the
Nanny showing, which returned the best grades for lead and silver.
Samples collected from some of the other showings were of obvious
high-iron leached cap material, therefore these zones will require
further sampling to detect more subtle in-situ or supgergene
mineralization that may contain higher grades.
Along with these early-stage targets, exploration is planned to
test the potential for other known zones to continue further into
the Dawson District. These include the Peak and Dynasty Zones and
the newly discovered Rob Zone, which has been tested with only
three samples to date. Additional silt sampling is planned where
sampling gaps exist, along with soil geochemical sampling in
favourable under-explored areas.
The OT area on the northern side of the property will be
thoroughly explored for additional showings and to better
understand the geology and setting of the zone.
Previous exploration at the Michelle Property included a 23-hole
exploratory drilling program that tested the Peak and Gully zones.
Highlights include a 9.40-meter interval grading 5.36% zinc, 16.36%
lead, 152 g/t silver and 870 ppm (parts per million) gallium from
the Gully Zone and a 2.95-meter interval from the Peak Zone that
returned 0.55% zinc, 15.18% lead, 2,133.9 g/t silver and 25 ppm
gallium.
