Arcis Resources Corporation ("Arcis") (OTC:ARCS.QB), announced
today that in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz U.S. International,
Inc. ("MBUSI"), and Clean Harbors, Inc., Arcis' Mobile Fluid
Recovery ("MFR") division has successfully completed a trial of its
customized solids reduction solution utilizing Arcis' patented
fluid recovery process.
The trial was completed at the Mercedes-Benz facility located in
Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The results successfully demonstrated
Mobile Fluid Recovery's ability to separate solids from the Plant's
water-borne purge stream. "Based on these results, we believe
this is the type of solution that is a win-win for all the
stakeholders, Mercedes, Clean Harbors, and Arcis. By removing a
significant amount of water-borne solids, MBUSI can realize a
significant reduction in waste disposal costs while recycling
approximately 300,000 gallons of water per year. This is
another example of MBUSI's commitment to environmental leadership
and excellence through implementation of continuous improvement
projects that further enhance the "Zero Landfill" status and
environmental sustainability initiatives already implemented by the
facility," said Trevis Lyon, President of Arcis Resources
Corporation.
In addition to working with MBUSI on the water-borne purge
project, Mobile Fluid Recovery has also begun processing absorbent
and solvent wiper materials for the facility. Using MFR's patented
fluid recovery technology, which removes up to 98% of the solvents,
oils, and/or contaminates in the Plant's absorbents and wipes,
MBUSI will be able to reduce costs associated with absorbent and
wipes replacement, eliminate the related waste disposal costs,
and recycle or reuse the recovered solvents and/or oil.
"Given the mission of Arcis, we value the opportunity to partner
with a world class company like Mercedes and its innovative
environmental team which is focused on finding "green" solutions
that are sustainable," said Kenneth Flatt, CEO of Arcis Resources
Corporation. According to Mr. Flatt, this water-borne solids
recovery solution has applications across many industries and
expands MFR's services across a number of industries and
markets.
