On March 30, 2011, American Crystal Sugar Company (the “Company’) sent a letter to its shareholders authorizing the planting of Roundup Ready ®  sugarbeet varieties for the 2011 growing season, subject to shareholders entering into agreements with the Company that impose conditions on the planting of Roundup Ready ®  sugarbeet varieties as required by U.S. Department of Agriculture.
