INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Celadon Group, Inc. (NYSE:CGI), released open beta testing Thursday to all users for their newly updated customer load-tracking platform CelaTrac.

Edson Pizarro (front) inputs the details of a customer's load for processing at Celadon Logistics in Indianapolis. The Celadon Group customer support team works with both carriers and customers alike on both the logistics and asset side of operations to ensure loads are handled effectively and delivered efficiently.

CelaTrac is an online platform for Celadon's customers to track real-time shipments across North America from origin to destination. In addition to load tracking, users can retrieve proof-of-delivery and bill-of-lading images, as well as access their load history.

Enhancements to CelaTrac include: mobile optimization, the ability to track load locations on a map in real time, and a more robust method of filtering and visualizing loads based on their status.

"As Celadon gets 'Back to the Basics,' we continue to invest in the company," said Celadon President and COO Jon Russell. "With a refreshed, modern design and additional functionality, the new CelaTrac platform furthers our efforts to focus on being one of the premier trucking and logistics companies in North America."

Celadon initially introduced the software to customers in 1998 with upgrades through the mid-2000s. This upgrade replaces all prior functionality and design to enhance customers' user experience.

"These technological enhancements provide a new level of simplicity and ease of use while providing robust load tracking and shipment detail," said Brett Terchila, Celadon's senior vice president of customer service. "The mobile feature allows customers to be just seconds away from real-time updates any time of day."

Customers currently using the platform can opt in to the upgraded CelaTrac beta through their existing account on www2.celadontrucking.com. Any customers not currently using the platform should contact their Celadon customer service representative to register.

In addition to this CelaTrac upgrade, Celadon also unveiled a redesigned corporate web site to better align its digital identity with the modern, technological focus of the company.

Similar to the update for CelaTrac, the primary focus for redesigning CeladonTrucking.com was to enhance the end user's experience with improved mobile browsing and more effective content delivery.

The updated site features an improved mobile experience for users with a fully responsive design. It also leverages Google's Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) Project format to deliver mobile pages that are "consistently fast, beautiful and high-performing across devices," according to information on ampproject.org.

Celadon Group, Inc. (www.celadongroup.com), through its subsidiaries, provides long-haul, regional, local, dedicated, intermodal, temperature-controlled and expedited freight service across the United States, Canada and Mexico.  The company also operates Celadon Logistics Services, which provides freight brokerage services, freight management, as well as supply chain management solutions, including warehousing and distribution.
