worldwide release and immediate availability of its free
Collaborize Classroom mobile app in the Apple App Store.*
Students can now participate in online discussions in their
Collaborize Classrooms using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Students can collaborate online with their classmates on-the-go,
anywhere and anytime.
According to Nielsen's "Generation App" report, adoption of
smart phones by young adults increased 50% between the end of 2010
and the end of 2011. Approximately 40% of students 13-18 use smart
phones, and that percentage is growing quickly. Following that
trend, teachers have reported that students have been accessing
their Collaborize Classroom sites via web browsers on their smart
phones since the release of Collaborize Classroom early last year.
This new development makes it even easier for them to collaborate
before, during, and after the bell rings, on the dedicated mobile
app - the new feature most requested by teachers in 2011.
