Ultimately, he opened a 100 square meter Haorizi store serving a village of 4,000 households, and currently earns roughly 5,000 yuan a month, substantially higher than the average per capita income of 5,000 yuan in rural areas. Madame Jia also explained how the Hoarizi business model was expanding to offer a broadening number of products and services through their retail stores, including newspapers, telephone and telecommunications, pharmaceuticals over-the-counter medications among others.
