ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.,
Nov. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- O2
Secure Wireless, Inc. (OTC PINK: OTOW), is pleased to announce its
immediate plans to expand the OTOW Network in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). With the acquisition of
Technologies Argus First de Mexico, O2 Secure Wireless, Inc. puts its
footprint in the fastest growing telecommunications region. With
Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) being a region that includes
some of the world's most important emerging markets, 2014 telecom
service spending is forecasted to end the year at $201 billion.
"This is a step we have been working on for the last three years
and it seems all of the cards are finally in place to expand in
Latin America and the Caribbean. Our Latin
America partners B&G Logistics S.A de C.V. and BHTV will
provide set top boxes and delivery of HD content. I know the
shareholders have been very patient with us as we grow this company
and have made many acquisitions, acquired telecommunications
licenses in various countries and have entered into various
partnerships to strategically place this company where it is now.
Looking at how long it took Metro PCS Communications to get off the
ground, being formed in 1994 and the steps they took to make it a
success they were ultimately taken over by T-Mobile US in 2013.
This is a company that I have been molding our company after and
look to far exceed their success. I feel we are on a fast track to
follow their footsteps," said the CEO of O2 Secure Wireless, Inc.
Val Kazia.
Like the rest of the world, LAC is turning increasingly towards
mobile solutions and away from the traditional telephone. In fact,
the region is well ahead of the world average, having reached an
estimated 115% mobile penetration at end-2013 against a global rate
of around 96%. The mobile penetration rate of LAC is
projected to reach 126 percent in 2015 and the number of mobile
connections is projected to amount to 781 million in 2015 (re;
Statistica). By the end of 2014, there will be almost 1
billion Internet users coming from LAC, and that the number of
telecommunications and mobile-broadband subscriptions will reach
2.3 billion globally. Fifty-five per cent of these subscriptions
are expected to be in the developing world and LAC. This
corresponds to an Internet-user penetration of 40% globally, 78% in
developed countries with over 50% of this in LAC and 32% in
developing countries. More than 90% of the people who are not yet
using the Internet are from the developing world. In the Americas,
close to two out of three people will be using the Internet by end
2014, the second highest penetration rate after Europe. (2014 ICT statistics).
