Social Media Ventures, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SMVI) announced today that it has applied for a Level 1 certification with the International Council for Corporate Governance (ICCG). The certification application is a 2 step process. First a Questionnaire to be filled out by a company executive that will be reviewed by the ICCG Audit Committee. Then the company's Executives and Board of Directors will have to adopt a code of Ethics prepared by ICCG. If satisfactory, ICCG will then issue a certification and all details will be published on www.socialmv.com
