Voiceserve, Inc. (OTCBB:VSRV), a low-cost, next-generation Internet
telephony software and service provider, today announced that
through its local Polish partner Ascomp SA who runs a VoIP service
for Heyah brand, they have supplied the Voipswitch Mobile dialers
branded for Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa S.A. in Poland. The service
was launched a few days ago, initially catering for the android
smartphone users, and in the following weeks a solution for the
iphones & ipads will be rolled out.
Voiceserve developed an application for the "Heyah" brand on
android and iOS devices enabling voice and text communication over
mobile and wifi networks. The application's name is Freeyah and is
available in the android market, and will be soon uploaded onto the
Appstore to accommodate the Iphones & Ipads. The application
was fully integrated with the local PTC's existing network
equipment.
The main functionality of the app is to allow users to call and
text each other free of charge irrespective of one's Global
location. Registration as a user has been simplified and has been
designed to be a hassle free process.
Once downloaded the application instantly highlights in one's
contact list other members that have already registered and are
using the app. Users are identified via nicknames based on phone
numbers, thus alleviating the requirement to identify by name
another registered user. Communication between users via the
contacts are free and text messages can be exchanged between users
at no cost. A special feature has been added to show fellow
contacts the status of their associates online.
This Voipswitch application uses a compressed optimized voice
codec which guarantees high voice quality, even when a party may be
in a weaker network coverage. The status of current connection
during a call is presented by a quality indicator.
