SAO PAULO, Brazil, March 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Marfrig Frigorificos e Comercio de Alimentos S.A. (Bovespa's Novo Mercado: MRFG3), one of the largest producers of beef and beef products in Latin America, announces today its results for the 4Q07 and full year of 2007. Highlights of the Period Gross revenue reached in 2007 R$ 3,726.2 million 55.8% up compared to R$ 2,391.0 million in 2006. In the 4Q07, gross revenue stood at R$ 1,207.8 million, 48.1% up on the 4Q06 and 33.9% up on the 3Q07. Net revenue totaled R$ 3,339.9 million in 2007, 56.8% higher than in 2006 (R$ 2,130.5 million). In the 4Q07, revenue stood at R$ 1,089.9 million, 54.0% up on the R$ 707.9 million recorded in the 4Q06 and 34.4% up on the R$ 810.9 million recorded in the 3Q07. Operating expenses in 2007 (selling, general and administrative) grew by 68.3%, to R$ 323.3 million, versus R$ 192.1 million in 2006. In the 4Q07, operating expenses as a percentage of net revenue was 9.3% (R$ 100.9 million), versus 9.7% in the 4Q06 (R$ 68.3 million) and 8.8% in the 3Q07 (R$ 71.8 million). EBITDA totaled R$ 380.2 million in 2007, 53.5% higher than 2006 figure (R$ 247.7 million). In the 4Q07, EBITDA reached R$ 123.4 million, 14.1% up on the R$ 108.1 million recorded on the 4Q06 and 37.7% up on the R$ 89.6 million recorded in the 3Q07. The EBITDA margin stood at 11.4%, 20 basis points down on the 11.6% recorded in 2006. In the 4Q07, the EBITDA margin came to 11.3%, versus 11.0% in the 3Q07 and 15.3% in the 4Q06. Net income rose by 32.1%, from R$ 64.3 million in 2006 to R$ 84.9 million in 2007. In the 4Q07, net income stood at R$ 26.3 million, 20.2% down on the 4Q06 (R$ 32.9 million) and 17.1% down on the 3Q07 (R$ 31.7 million).
