PETERBOROUGH (PROGRESS HEALTH) PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY (THE "ISSUER")

#446,115,000 GUARANTEED SECURED BONDS DUE 2042 (INCLUDING UP TO #50,000,000 
VARIATION BONDS) (THE "BONDS")

Amendment

The Directors of the Issuer announce that pursuant to a Modification Deed dated
19 July 2007, the terms and conditions of the Bonds have been amended so that:
      
1. All references to the interest rate for the Bonds shall read "5.581 per 
   cent."
2. In Condition 3(a), the reference to the amount of interest payable on the 
   first Scheduled Payment Date in respect of each #1,000 in principal amount of 
   the Bonds shall read "#13.72".
3. In Condition 6(a), the reference to the amount of Scheduled Interest and the 
   amount of the Total Payment payable on 2 October 2007 shall read "13.72".

Copies of the Modification Deed can be obtained from the office of the Issuer, 
listed below.
