ARCHIPELAGO RESOURCES PLC

Issue of Shares

As part of a previously announced placing totalling approx 37.7m shares,
Archipelago Resources plc ("the Company") has issued a further 11,093,664
Ordinary Shares to various placees in connection with the placing. The Company
has applied for these Ordinary Shares to be admitted to AIM and admission is
expected on 18 May 2006.  As of 18 May 2006, the Company has a total of
125,648,373 Ordinary Shares in issue. Taking account of the issue of 15,915,425
Ordinary Shares announced on 26 April 2006, the Company has now issued
27,009,089 out of the total of 37.7m placing shares referred to above.
