                         ARCHIPELAGO RESOURCES PLC

                              Issue of Shares


Archipelago Resources plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce the completion
of the placing of approximately 37.7 million ordinary shares of 1p each in the
capital of the Company ("the Ordinary Shares").  As part of the previously
announced placing, the Company has issued a further 10,770,961 Ordinary Shares
to various placees. The Company has applied for these Ordinary Shares to be
admitted to AIM and admission is expected on 6 June 2006.  As of  30 May 2006,
the Company has a total of 136,419,334 Ordinary Shares in issue.
