Ashcourt Rowan plc (AIM: ARP), the UK wealth management group, is pleased to announce the appointment of James McMeehan Roberts (more commonly known as Jim Roberts) to the board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.

Jim Roberts, 60, has more than 30 years' experience in the financial services industry and brings with him extensive expertise in the retail investment market.

For 26 years Jim worked at Skandia Group, where he held a number of senior positions including Appointed Actuary, Finance Director and Group Investment Director. He also set up Skandia Investment Management which he chaired from its inception.

Jim currently holds a variety of senior industry positions, including Non-Executive Director at MGM Advantage and Sarasin & Partners; Chairman of Investment Committee at Insynergy Investment Management; Chairman of the Investment Committee at Verbatim Asset Management; and Member of the Advisory Board at Simply Biz.
