                   Diggers & Dealers - Investor Presentation


Ballarat Goldfields NL (BGF) Managing Director is this morning addressing
delegates at the Diggers and Dealers conference in Kalgoorlie.  A copy of his

The presentation elaborates on elements of the recent quarterly report and
resource upgrade announcements.  It also goes on to describe proposed
modifications to the mine design to capitalise on improvements in grade and
geological understanding, the result of drilling and early mining.


  * The quality of the location remains outstanding, verified by the
    conversion of Exploration Potential to resource.
      + 1.4Moz Resource including 0.24Moz Indicated plus
      + 10 Moz Exploration Potential contained in four project sites
  * The Ballarat East development plan now sees production ramping up to
    250koz production rate.
      + The Grade is increasing at depth
      + 75% of the 5 year plan is from resource base
      + A Southern Shaft adds haulage and speeds access to the higher grade
        blocks at depth.  It replaces a vent shaft planned to the north.
  * The Blue Whale Fault and high grade event are major enhancements to
    geological model.
  * The exploration and design review conclusion -
      + Get deeper - faster
  * Project pipeline well advanced


BGF plans to release details of the new plan, once costing has been finalised.
Discussions are underway with debt providers.
