                    CHANGE OF DATE FOR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING


As a consequence of an administrative error, insufficient notice was given for
the convening of the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 19th December 2007.
Accordingly, a revised notice together with a replacement form of proxy has been
posted to shareholders today convening the meeting for Monday, 24th December
2007 at 10.00am at the Company's registered office at One Jermyn Street, London
SW1 4UH. A copy of the Report and Accounts is available from the Company's
website www.bpdplc.com.
