BOARD CHANGES


Brait, the Luxembourg, Johannesburg and London listed investment and financial
services group announced today certain board and executive changes.


By mutual agreement, the group CEO, John Coulter will be released from his
employment agreement with Brait, effective from the end of October 2006. Antony
Ball, currently Executive Chairman, will become CEO with immediate effect.


The Board structure is simplified with Mervyn King reverting to his previous
role as Non Executive Chairman. Antony Ball and John Gnodde will relinquish
their responsibilities as Executive Chairman and Deputy Chairman and assume the
roles as the group CEO and executive director, respectively.
