BAYPORT HOLDINGS (SOUTH AFRICA) (PROPRIETARY) LIMITED ("BAYPORT")


Shareholders of Brait are informed that the company is currently involved in
negotiations which could lead to the realisation of its interests in Bayport, a
micro-lending and financial services business, to a consortium comprising, inter
alia, the management of Bayport.


If the transaction is successfully concluded, it may have an impact on Brait's
share price.  Shareholders are accordingly advised to exercise caution in their
dealings in Brait shares until such time as further announcements are made.
