Chairman's statement to shareholders of Belgravium Technologies Plc

Annual General Meeting, 18 May 2001

Speaking at the group's Annual General Meeting today, John Kembery, Chairman of
Belgravium Technologies Plc said:

"The New Board of Belgravium Technologies is pleased that shareholders approved
the plans for the recent demerger of Eadie Industries from the company, leaving
Belgravium exceptionally well positioned to grow and to utilise its own
resources to expand. The company is now completely separated from all residual
liabilities and has no borrowings. It is investing strongly in new product and
market developments and will grow organically as well as through suitable
acquisitions."

"I am also pleased to announce that in the quarter ended March 2001, Belgravium
has performed strongly, and this level of trading continues to be sustained. As
a result, the Board remains confident of being able to deliver a favourable set
of interim results when reported in August. As a measure of our confidence, as
shareholders may be aware, Directors made substantial purchases of shares
immediately after the announcement of the demerger. "
