Candover sells European Rail Catering to SAirRelations

Candover, the leading company buy-out specialist, has today sold European Rail
Catering ("ERC") to Rail Gourmet, the rail catering arm of SAirRelations,
formerly Swissair Group.  Candover led the management buy-out of ERC (formerly
OBS Limited, British Rail's Catering Division) in October 1995.

Candover Investments plc provided #1.5 million of equity capital, and the
Candover 1994 Fund #5.5 million, with the remaining equity being provided by
management.

ERC is the leading supplier of catering products and logistics management to the
UK rail industry, through its network of 36 station-based service centres and
its daily distribution network across Britain. ERC has an annual turnover of #40
million.
