Purchase of shares by the Chapelthorpe plc 1996 Employee Benefit Trust (the 
"Trust") 
 
 
Chapelthorpe plc (the "Company") announces that the Chapelthorpe plc Employee 
Benefit Trust (the "Trust") purchased 717,386 ordinary shares of 50p in the 
Company today at a price of 10.75p per share. As a result the holding of the 
Trust is now 931,406 ordinary shares, representing approximately 4.6% of the 
Company's issued ordinary share capital. These ordinary shares may be used by 
the Trust to make awards to certain Directors and employees of the Company under 
the Company's Share Plans.
