New TV deals for Lanfeust Quest

DQ Entertainment, the Global entertainment production and distribution company today announced that Lanfeust Quest, a 26 episode animated TV series co-produced by DQE with Gaumont Animation, France, has been acquired by leading broadcasters for multiple regions. Lanfeust Quest is an adaptation of the bestselling comic and manga franchise Lanfeust of Troy

The series has been acquired by Disney XD for Turkey, Spain, Benelux, German-speaking Europe, Italy and Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEEMA) regions that includes about 50 countries. DQE holds the rights for the territories of Turkey, Middle East and all of Asia under the terms of the co-production with Gaumont Animation.

Acquiring a dose of boys action adventure, the series has also been picked up by TVE (Spain), ABC3 (Australia) and for Pay-TV networks, Biggs Channel (Portugal) .

Lanfeust Quest follows the adventures of 14-year-old Lanfeust as he becomes the only hero in charge of protecting Planet Troy. Lanfeust Quest was commissioned by French broadcaster M6 in September 2013 and made its channel debut on September 25. Following the commission, Lagardere's Canal J also picked up the series.

Lanfeust Quest was directed by Antoine Charreyron (The Prodigies, Galactik Football) and Tarik Hamdine.

There has been active interest for the series from broadcasters and leading licensing and home video companies from other regions.

About Lanfeust Quest:

In the imaginary world of Troy, every human being has a magic power. However, there is one object - a medallion that can bestow one person with all powers. There are two chosen ones Lanfeust, a reckless teenager and Thanos, a cruel tyrannical pirate. By pure chance the medallion has fallen into Lanfuest's hands. The problem is that the youth has no idea how to use this newly acquired ultimate power. With a little help from his friends and a bewitched troll, he will learn to master his power and to confront Thanos, turning into the hero he always dreamt he would be.
