Jiangxi Copper Co. (0358.HK) has settled 2009 treatment and refining charges, or TC/RCs, with Anglo-Australian miner BHP Billiton (BHP) at $75 a metric ton and 7.5 cents a pound, an official with the company who declined to be named said Friday.

The prices are the same as those reached between Jiangxi Copper and Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (FCX) earlier this month, said the official.

The charges are about 60% higher than what BHP paid last year to Jiangxi Copper, China's largest copper smelter by output, to process copper concentrate into the red metal.
