Proposed voluntary winding-up of the Company

The breakage and other associated costs figure was approximately #375,000 and
not the #459,000 previously specified. All other details remain the same.


Following the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 10 March 2004 at which the
resolution was passed to wind up voluntarily the Company, the Board of Govett
Asian Income & Growth Fund Limited today announces that the Company's loan
facility with Bank of Scotland in the sum of #9,500,000 has been repaid,
together with breakage and other associated costs of approximately #375,000.



It is expected that a copy of the EGM resolution will be filed with H.M.
Greffier in Guernsey on 19 March 2004, at which time the Liquidators will become
appointed.
