Kiwara intersects further high grade nickel mineralisation and significantly
extends strike at Kawako
The board of Kiwara, the Zambian based exploration Company, is very pleased to
announce the first results of its follow-up drill programme at Kawako, which
continue to intersect high grade nickel.
Highlights:
* Borehole ("B/H") KW3 intersected 17.70m grading 1.04%Ni from 22.30m; this
intersection includes 6.04m grading 2.26%Ni from 25.00m.
* KW3 is 250m SSW on strike and intersects a similar mineralised horizon at
similar depth to KW1.
* KW3 has a further intersection of 15.30m grading 0.41%Ni from 50.50m.
Colin Bird (Chairman) says: "We are very pleased with this result in as much as
it significantly extends strike and its intersected mineralisation is similar to
our discovery borehole, KW1, suggesting continuity and uniformity of grade. We
are continuing to aggressively explore this target."
Background:
On 23rd September 2008 the Company announced the results of its initial drilling
programme at Kawako; two boreholes, 900m apart, intersected high grade nickel
mineralisation hosted in schists on the anticipated margin of a historically
identified carbonaceous shale unit and on a Ni soil anomaly.
Kawako Drilling Results:
B/H K3 is a core borehole drilled vertically a distance of 250m SSW from the
initial reconnaissance b/h KW1 and 1,150m from KW2. The results correlate
extremely well with those obtained in KW1, with mineralisation reported from a
similar depth.
The selected length weighted mineralised intersections for which a cut-off grade
of 0.25%Ni was applied, are summarised in the table below:
+---------------+----------------+-------------+-------------+----------+
| B/H | Depth | Depth |Intersected | Ni |
| | From (m) | To (m) | width (m) | % |
+---------------+----------------+-------------+-------------+----------+
| KW3 | 22.30 | 40.00 | 17.70 | 1.04* |

The assays of the core samples from this borehole were carried out by SGS
Inspection Services Ltd, Kalulushi Laboratory, Zambia being an internationally
accredited laboratory.
This release has been approved by Colin Bird, HND Mining Engineering, Chartered
Engineer and Certificated Mine Manager, who is Executive Chairman of Kiwara and
a fellow of The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
About Kiwara:
Kiwara is an exploration company with a focus on base metals in the Republic of
Zambia, which is a major copper producing country.
Kiwara, through its majority owned subsidiary, Kalumbila Minerals, holds
Prospecting Licence 267 which is within the Kabompo Dome in North Western
Zambia, a geologically complex antiformal feature, which contains a number of
base metal and uranium targets. This is within the area considered to be the
western extension of the Copperbelt, an increasingly significant mining area
that contains the recently developed Kansanshi and Lumwana copper mines.
