The Company was notified on 2 July 2005 that, following the placing announced by
the Company on 24 June 2005 in which Scarborough Development Group China Ltd
invested in 7,000,000 shares, at 15 pence per share Scarborough Development
Group plc ("SDG") and associated businesses hold a total of 8,000,000 London
Asia shares, which represents 3.75% of the issued share capital of London Asia.
Cesidio Di Ciacca, London Asia non executive director, is a director of SDG.

Following the exercise of warrants attached to the Convertible Loan Notes issued
in 2003, 1,561,660 ordinary 5p shares have been issued at a share price of 5p
per share, resulting in net proceeds to the Company of #78,083. Application will
be made to admit the new ordinary shares to trading on AIM and admission is
expected on 7 July 2005. Following the exercise, there are 214,986,154 ordinary
shares in issue, and 386,917 warrants outstanding equal to 7,738,340 ordinary
shares.

Barry Gold, London Asia non executive director, has decided to step down from
the London Asia Board with effect from 2nd July 2005 to pursue his other
interests.

Jack Wigglesworth, Chairman of London Asia, commented: "Barry has been with the
Company since it's formation and the Board would like to express it's gratitude
for all of the hard work put in by Barry over the years - we wish him well in
his future ventures. We are delighted by the continued support shown by SDG in
the Company, who originally invested in May 2003."
