                   Investment In Securities Trading Business

London Asia Capital plc ("London Asia" or "the Group") the UK listed (AIM:
LDC.L) Asia focused merchant banking group, has invested in Yellow River
Securities Limited ("Yellow River"), a newly formed Hong Kong shares trading
business.

Yellow River makes short term investments in listed and unlisted Asian
businesses, primarily in those businesses coming to listing (pre IPO finance) in
China or one of the other Asian markets, and in undervalued existing listed
businesses that could benefit from the financial skills and contacts that the
Yellow River and London Asia management teams can bring.

Yellow River is issuing HK$100 million (#6.5 million) of new share capital, of
which London Asia is taking 40%. London Asia is paying for its 40% stake via the
issue of 24 million London Asia ordinary 5p shares to Yellow River. The other
60% is being taken up by Yellow River management.

Application will be made to admit the new shares to trading on AIM, with
admission expected on 25 May 2007.

Simon Littlewood, London Asia Chief Executive, said: "The stock markets in Asia
are booming as confidence among retail and institutional investors grows, and
more funds are diverted from personal savings into the capital markets. Yellow
River will focus on taking trading positions in stock across the Asian markets,
and in Chinese businesses listed on stock markets outside Asia."
