SIMON LINARES JOINS THE NOTTINGHAM AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Nottingham, UK, 17 January 2020 - Nottingham Building Society is delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Linares to its board as Non-Executive Director.

Linares brings a wealth of people and development and commercial experience spanning a range of sectors including FMCG, telecommunications and insurance. His most recent position was Group HR Director at Direct Line where he led the HR, communications, public affairs and CSR strategies and in 2018 was ranked amongst the top five most influential HR practitioners.

Prior to Direct Line, Linares headed up human resources for O2 Europe and Telefonica's digital businesses. Prior to that, at Diageo, he held a number of global roles and led HR in various geographies and cultures including Africa, Spain and Portugal.

Simon joined the Board at The Nottingham in December last year accompanying fellow non-executive directors John Edwards, Kerry Spooner, Andrew Neden, Kavita Patel and Simon Baum.
