Following the completion of the acquisition of New Star Asset Management Group 
PLC, the ultimate parent company of the Company's Manager, by Henderson Group 
plc ("Henderson") on 9th April 2009, the Board of New Star Financial 
Opportunities Fund Limited ("the Company") is pleased to announce that Henderson 
has appointed the well-known financials investment manager Guy de Blonay to 
manage the Company's portfolio with immediate effect. The Board wishes to thank 
Nick Brind, the outgoing investment manager, for all he has done for the Company 
since taking over the Company's portfolio in 2003, and they wish him success in
