Nestle: Media Planning and Buying Reassigned
Vevey, 15 October 2004 - The Nestle Group, after conducting a review of its
media operations across its top media markets, has decided to consolidate its
entire media planning and buying with Publicis Groupe (ZenithOptimedia) and WPP
(Group M). Nestle Japan will, however, continue its longstanding media
relationship with Dentsu.
The review involved media investment in all Nestle brands, categories and Nestle
compa-nies, as well as joint venture partner Cereal Partners Worldwide.
The initiative leverages Nestle's CHF 2 billion media expenditure and will
result in substan-tial benefits and value improvement to the Company, resulting
from a higher marketing effi-ciency.
The decision does not affect the creative assignments of Nestle's aligned
communications partners worldwide: McCann Erickson, Publicis, JWT, Ogilvy, Lowe
and Dentsu.
