              AGM STATEMENT - OASIS STORES PLC
                              
                              
We are pleased to report that trading in the first 18 weeks
of the year has matched our expectations with Oasis like-for-
like sales up 8% and total sales up 22%.  Since the
announcement of the Preliminary Results two new branches
have been opened and two branches have been relocated into
larger space.
 
Our product is being well received and we remain confident
in the fundamental strengths of our brands.
