                         Issuance of Ordinary Shares


Prometheus Energy Company, an alternative and renewable energy company, today
announces that the Company issued and  allotted, conditional on admission, 6,795
ordinary shares of nil nominal value in the Company to employees in lieu of 
cash compensation at a price of 23 pence, the closing price on 20 December 2007.
Application has been made to have the  shares admitted to trading on AIM, with
dealings expected to commence on 28 December 2007.

The new shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares. 
Following the share issue, the Company's  outstanding issued share capital, less
shares held by the Company in treasury, will be 60,171,303 shares.
