announced that Jennifer E. Smith has joined SAIC's Infrastructure,
Logistics and Product Solutions Group (ILPSG) as senior vice
president of business development. She will lead the Group's
business development team in identifying, capturing and bidding new
competitive task orders and large strategic procurements with new
and existing clients. The Group, one of four at SAIC, provides
technical and engineering solutions for a variety of customers and
mission areas including chemical, biological, radiological and
nuclear; logistics and product support; safety and mission
assurance; operational test and evaluation; environmental support;
and energy management services. ILPSG is also a leading designer,
producer and installer of non-intrusive imaging and integrated
cargo inspection systems. Smith has market knowledge from across
the aerospace, defense and government information technology
industries and a deep understanding of the products and systems
available to meet the mission critical needs of the customer. She
has led both federal and commercial business development
organizations with national and international client bases. Prior
to joining SAIC, Smith was vice president and deputy director of
Marketing and Sales at SRA International Inc., where she helped
manage the business development, capture management and market
research organizations. She was previously an area vice president
of Federal Sales for Dell Inc., where she directed a 38-person team
selling to Federal government end users and developed strategies
for market opportunities with federal systems integrators and small
businesses. She also held executive business development and
management positions during a 20-year career with Lockheed Martin
Corp. "Jennifer's extensive experience and depth of industry and
customer knowledge will further strengthen our business development
