Block Listing Application


The Company announces that it has today applied for a Block Listing
application for 771,062 ordinary shares in respect of the following share
option schemes; the Policy Master Group Approved Executive Share Option
Scheme; the Policy Master Group Unapproved Executive Share Option Scheme; the
Policy Master Group American Share Option Plan; the Policy Master Group
Executive Management Incentive Scheme; and the following employee Save as you
Earn Scheme: the Policy Master Group Sharesave Scheme (issues 1 to 6).


Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange plc for these shares to be admitted to the Official List and the
London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities.


The application is expected to become effective on 1 June 2001.
