Appointment of Director

William Sinclair, one of the UK's leading suppliers of growing media, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Thomas Rupert King as a non-executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Commenting on Rupert's appointment, Hugh Etheridge, Chairman said "We welcome Rupert to the Board, and value both his considerable experience and support for the Company as a significant investor. During the present period of transition the expertise he brings in delivering growth and transformation will I am sure prove beneficial to the Company."

Thomas Rupert King (aged 50)

Mr. King, known as Rupert, began his career with KPMG (then Peat Marwick) in 1986, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1989. He then joined Electra Partners (latterly Cogentas), a private equity house, for whom he acted in increasingly senior roles until his retirement in 2008. Through the course of his professional career, Mr. King has held directorships of numerous companies, including PHS Holdings Limited, BWG Group Limited, Energy Power Resources Limited, and Tom Cobleigh Holdings Limited. Separately to his professional activities, Mr. King has held and continues to hold directorships of a number of private companies in which he is interested.
