                       Board Appointment


Vocalis   Group   plc  ("Vocalis"),  the  speech   recognition
telephony  company, announces that Mr Mike Williams  has  been
appointed  to the Board as Business Development Director  with
immediate effect.

Mr  Williams has been with Vocalis for over three years and in
his  new  role,  he  will be responsible for  the  drive  into
Vocalis'   new   business  areas  including  SpeechWare,   the
licensing  of  its  core  speech  recognition  technology  and
SpeecHTML, the recently announced web/telephony service.
