                                  Result of AGM 
 
 
The Board of Western & Oriental plc is pleased to announce that at the Annual 
General Meeting of the Company held today, all resolutions were duly passed. 
 
Following the passing of resolution 9, the Board is pleased to confirm that all 
conditions in relation to the Conditional Placing Shares part of the Placing 
announced on 30 March 2010 have been satisfied. 
 
Application will be made by the Company for the Placing Shares to be admitted to 
trading on AIM. Admission and dealings in the Placing Shares are expected to 
commence on AIM at 8.00 a.m. on Thursday 8 April 2010. 
 
Definitions in this announcement are consistent with those set out in the 
announcement of the Company dated 30 March 2010.
