PITTSBURGH, May 16, 2024
/PRNewswire/ -- "I'm an occupational therapist, and I wanted to
create a daily living aid that would allow the user to pull their
pants upward after using the toilet without asking for assistance
and without falling," said an inventor, from Escondido,
Calif., "so I invented THE PANTS PAL. My design would offer an
improved alternative to standard dressing aids such as long-handled
reachers and dressing sticks."
The invention provides a dressing aid to assist individuals with
pulling up their pants when dressing and using the restroom. Doing
so prevents the pants from falling to the ground and causing added
strain or tripping hazards. It also considers those with decreased
dexterity and hand function, making pulling up pants virtually
hands-free. As a result, it eliminates the need for assistance and
increases independence and safety. In addition, the invention
features a compact design that is easy to use, so it is ideal for
individuals who have had orthopedic surgeries, back surgeries,
anyone who experiences back pain or problems, the elderly, and
other individuals with limited mobility.
The original design was submitted to the San Diego sales office of InventHelp. It is
currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or
marketers. For more information, write Dept. 22-SDB-1714,
