Industry veteran Chris Covell, founder of SmartWatt, has joined Metrus as an independent board member.

Covell began his career by founding SmartWatt, a pioneering energy services company, in 2002. Under Covell's leadership, SmartWatt became a nationwide leader in the energy services industry, employing more than 250 people by 2019, the year it was acquired by Centrica Business Solutions. Following the acquisition, Covell served as Managing Director of Centrica Business Solutions North America through 2022.
