provider of reinsurance services, announced two important changes
to its structure and Executive Leadership Team, effective
March 1, 2025.
Meredith Williams has been named
Senior Vice President, Reinsurance Strategy and Placement &
Broker Assumed Operations. This new department combines several
previously separate functions – a change aimed at giving
AmericanAg® the ability to facilitate a greater
connection between its corporate reinsurance strategy and the
underwriting activities in its Broker Assumed area.
In his new role, Meredith will be responsible for managing all
outward reinsurance placements, monitoring reinsurer counterparty
credit risk, advising on new product solutions, and overseeing the
company's Broker Assumed segment, which includes domestic programs
and international business in Canada, Latin
America, Europe,
Asia, and Africa.
Meredith has extensive experience in reinsurance evaluations and
negotiations, primary occurrence and aggregate exposure risk
management, and insurance regulation. Past roles include Vice
President, Reinsurance, for Zurich Financial Services and Partner
for Howden Tiger. He joined
AmericanAg® in 2016 and most recently served as Senior
Vice President, Reinsurance Strategy & Placement.
Pat Larsen has been appointed
Senior Vice President of the new Client Retro & Broker Assumed
Pool Management team. In this role, Pat will collaborate directly
with Farm Bureau® clients, worldwide retrocessionaire
business partners, and other AmericanAg® team members to
develop retro solutions for the company and its clients. He will
also be responsible for the management of the Broker Assumed pools
that the company maintains for select clients.
Pat has over 30 years of reinsurance industry experience,
including roles as Vice President – Reinsurance at Kemper Insurance
and Associate Vice President of Reinsurance Operations at Zurich
Insurance. He joined AmericanAg® in 2008 and has held
the positions of Vice President of Ceded Reinsurance and most
recently, Senior Vice President, Broker Assumed Reinsurance.
