Actus Minerals Corp. (TSX VENUTRE: AAC) ("Actus") announces that it has engaged Ram Explorations Ltd. of Vancouver, British Columbia to undertake an initial data compilation and geologic mapping exercise on Actus' semi-massive to massive sulphide exploration property in Levy Township, Abitibi Region, Quebec known as the Kayla property.

The data compilation work will include a review of all of the historic exploration reports on the Kayla property, a review of published literature regarding VMS mineralization in the Chapais District (to define local VMS target signatures and provide a better understanding of potential target size); construction of a 3D elevation model for the area surrounding the Kayla property; compilation and 3D modeling of all previous geological, geophysical, geochemical and diamond drilling carried out on or adjacent to the Kayla Property; and, preparation of a Chapais District property map showing known VMS prospects and or historic mines as well as current areas of interest.

In addition to the drilling completed by Actus in 2008, between 1950 and 1994 the Kayla property underwent airborne and ground geophysical surveys, soil geochemical surveys, geological mapping and almost 20,000 feet of diamond drilling in more than 60 drill holes. The current Independent Technical Report on the Kayla property notes that exploration work completed by Ojibway Resources Ltd. in 1994 was designed to evaluate alteration and geophysical conductor extensions on the Kayla property and exposed mineralization reported at Zones 1, 2 and 3. The possible down dip extensions of Zones 1, 2 and 3 are currently the primary targets on the Kayla property. The report concludes that "the alteration and the position next to the Bourbeau Sill may represent the footwall expression of similar lenses of VMS type mineralization in the Chapais area".
