New Chief Executive for IWP International plc

The Board of IWP is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jim Murphy as
Chief Executive with effect from today.

Mr Jim Murphy (57) is the former Group Managing Director of Golden Vale plc,
which was acquired by the Kerry Group in late 2001.  Mr Murphy became Chief
Executive of Golden Vale in 1997 and is credited with the successful
revitalisation of the company.  He broadened the activities of Golden Vale
beyond its traditional dairy base, particularly in the retail and consumer
sectors, developing new markets through acquisitions, product development and a
strong customer focus.  In his five years as Group Managing Director, Mr Murphy
oversaw a more than doubling of the profitability and share price of Golden
Vale.

Mr Murphy began his career with Grand Metropolitan plc in the early 1970's,
moving from a finance function into various general management positions,
including Managing Director of the fresh foods division and Commercial Director
of the Express Foods Group.  He was appointed to the main Board of Express Foods
Group in 1988.  He was a member of the MBO team which purchased the Express
Foods cheese division from Grand Metropolitan in 1992.  Named the Cheese
Company, it was significantly expanded and developed and sold to Waterford Foods
plc in 1995

Mr Joe Moran, is stepping down as Chief Executive to become Non-Executive
Chairman of the company replacing the current Chairman, Mr Frank Plunkett
Dillon.  Mr Plunkett Dillon will remain on the Board as Deputy Chairman.

It is the intention of IWP International to strengthen the Board by the
appointment of a number of new Non-Executive Directors in the coming months.
